tobi on top: my first few looks from mexico 2018!

woooooo february has been one heck of a month, and the madness is only just beginning!!! i apologize for my lack of actual blog posts these days, but rest assured i’ve been doing a whole lot of life-things that will only inevitably result in awesome future posts! for example: i just spent the last several days living in the lap of luxury, poolside in riviera maya, mexico. it was unreal, and i’m in the process of writing up a whole synopsis, but in the meantime i thought i’d leave you with a few of my favorite tops from throughout my trip – all sponsored by tobi! 

when it came time to lock down my vacation collabs, i thought it would be a great idea to utilize many pieces that i already had in my wardrobe – which is why i chose to feature fun statement tops instead of dresses or rompers. the first look is pulled together by a cropped, red and nude off-the-shoulder blouse. (shop directly by clicking the link!) i wore it out to dinner, and then to a hookah lounge (which was super fun). i wanted to feel as sultry as possible, so i paired it with a red lip and a black slit maxi skirt (linked below!). i completed this tropical look with a bit of texture on the feet: these wicker and rope lace-up heels scream ‘vacation mode.’

the second look is one of my absolute favorites: i went full boho, pairing my tobi ‘sweet like honey’ cropped tee with global prints and relaxed silhouettes. i loved matching the beautiful tile work found throughout my resort! i’ve linked you guys to similar pieces below so you can get your spring wardrobe poppin’ a little early! these shorts were SO comfy, they almost felt like pajamas! but really – when you’re in true, total relaxation…. almost anything goes! i think i could have walked right out in my PJ’s and nobody would have noticed!

the last look was the most toned down i think i could have gotten on this trip, as you’ll be seeing from my remaining #OOTD posts on instagram. for my last night at the resort, i kept it easy breezy in this black swing top. since i was going dark (which is typically a no-no for me while on a tropical vacation), i made sure that my bottoms were stark white! these american eagle jeggings are my absolute favorites. i wear them in all seasons, and with all styles. blush statement earrings from francesca’s completed a really simple, casual ensemble.
