it was misting the entire morning that we spent at the alstede farms pumpkin patch. as you may have seen in an earlier entry, the skies wound up clearing and the sun made a brief appearance later in the day – but not before leaving us all damp and sticky. but no matter the weather, fall pumpkin picking is something i look forward to every year, and i always enjoy dressing for the occasion. yesterday i wrote about my trip to a farm, but that’s not all i’ve been getting into this fall. brooklyn’s cool and all, but in my opinion autumn is the most beautiful season and it would be a shame to miss the leaves as they turn – so the hubby and i took a long weekend out of the city and stayed at shinglekill falls bed & breakfast, where we explored hunter mountain, kaaterskill falls, and some seriously good home cooking.
