We purchased our home back in June of 2021, and there were so many little things that we wanted to do to really make the space our own. One thing that’s been on my mind for quite some time is a new front door! I’m happy to say I’ve installed one! I chose the Masonite Performance Door System to give the exterior of our house a facelift, and it’s been so much fun partnering with them. Read on for the scoop on this fun home improvement project, and some before/after shots of my front porch!
When it came to choosing a “look” for my new exterior door, I opted for the Bellville 1-panel 3/4 Lite with matching Sidelites! The old door felt very dated… lacking in clean lines, lots of frosted glass, and overall it just didn’t feel like it matched the rest of the house’s exterior design. Plus, our home had been renovated back in the year 2000 – that means our old door was over twenty years old! BEFORE:
When the team of contractors showed up to install the new door, they took it out of the packaging and set up shop in my driveway – demolishing the old door, keeping everything clean and tidy as they worked. We had fun playing around with the giant gaping hole in our entryway! It’s so much bigger than we realized!
DURING:
The new door looks absolutely fantastic. It was such an easy one-day installation. The 3/4 lite design allows the natural light to come flooding into our great room, and finally the exterior of our house looks the way it always was meant to! Our new door mimics the crisp and clean white lines throughout the exterior design, and compliments our neutral siding so nicely. I decorated the porch in a modern bohemian global aesthetic to showcase our new Masonite Performance Door System. I couldn’t be happier with these results!
