this is the perfect fall maternity outfit, and here’s why!

it’s true… i’ve been slacking on actual blog posts lately. i’m finding it better for my traffic to focus on instagram, where i’ve been working to make my captions more detailed – almost like mini blog blurbs! however, big life events, major collaborations and the best of the best outfits still have their place here… and that’s why i’m featuring this look today! read on to hear why this is the perfect fall maternity outfit – and how even someone who’s not pregnant can recreate this look with ease!

maternity clothes have a tendency to be very basic, and it’s understandable considering you only wear them for a few months and they need to match everything…. so i’ve created a formula for snazzing up my solid pieces this season and you can too! remember this simple rule: the way to amp up jeans + a tee is to ACCESSORIZE! one of my favorite ways to accentuate my bump is to wear boho style kimonos. this velvet beauty happens to be from a maternity boutique (shop it directly below!) but absolutely nothing about this garment is maternity…. anyone can wear the kimonos sold on pinkblush! in fact, they make a point to always show four models: one pregnant, one plus size pregnant, one non-pregnant, and one plus size non-pregnant. i love this about them.

to keep consistent with the boho vibe, i paired my kimono with a colored turban style headwrap. these two pieces make you forget about the fact that i’m wearing jeans and a white tee! they have taken the most basic outfit and elevated it in an instant.

i should add – the jeans, tee, AND my boots are all from target (also shoppable below!). the prices are ridiculously affordable and the boots look way more ‘legit’ than they actually are. i get so many compliments on them – and they also come in white! can’t wait to wear them in nashville next month! would you recreate a look like this?? i’m going to be doing this all fall and winter (and probably even after childbirth!) because it’s such a flattering look, without sacrificing an ounce of cool-factor! follow along with me on instagram for more updates like this and for some major blog news, coming very soon!
