borrow or buy: you decide with gwynnie bee’s new inclusive sizing!

i’ve been under the weather these past few days so i’m thrilled to have woken up today feeling 90% better than i did last night – just in time for 78 degree temps to hit the tri-state area! maybe today i’ll be able to spend a little time outdoors instead of cooped up on the couch…. which has me flashing back to last weekend when i stepped out (to dairy queen!!!) in style in the first of three looks that i’ve had #sponsored by gwynnie bee! read on to hear about this super cool subscription service and how it’s changing for the better!

today’s gwynnie bee feature is this super cute flamingo top by london times! gwynnie bee is a monthly subscription box that started out exclusively plus size… but they’ve opened their sizing up from size 0 – 32 and i’m super psyched to be trying it out for the first time!!! How it works: You add pieces to your virtual closet (from their selection of over 150 brands and over 3,000 styles!) and depending on your plan of choice, get a certain number of items sent to you each month without the commitment of having to purchase the piece! that being said… if you love it once you wear it… you’re given the option to purchase for a fraction of the retail price! i LOVE this concept, because i rank my clothes based on ‘audience response’. if i get a ton of compliments on something, i know it was a win…. so personally, if i wear something (from my gwynnie bee closet) and it gets rave reviews, i know it’s something i’ll want to actually purchase. if it doesn’t… back into the virtual closet it goes! return shipping is pre-stamped and all you have to do is seal the bag and drop into your nearest mailbox! this service is SO easy and starts at as low as $49 a month. for working professionals, busy moms, or even someone who’s fickle with clothing like i am… if you like really rotating your wardrobe but you’re on a budget, this system is GENIUS!!!

now, onto the outfit! i paired my “new” top with some mid-rise crop jeans by articles of society from nordstrom. these are my new favorite pants. i’ve gained a few pounds since my move and everything was feeling way too snug, so i went out and purchased these – not to enable myself – but because they are super flexible with lots of stretch. even when i get these pounds back off, i know these bad boys will still fit and i’m loving every minute of wearing them. also from nordstrom is a round ‘canteen’ purse by bp! i saw a rebecca minkoff version of this that was gorgeous, but given the shape and the size, i wasn’t sure i’d get enough use out of it for the price – so i opted for the (much) cheaper version. at only $39…. you really can’t go wrong with adding this to your wardrobe for spring 2018. i’m now in the market for the perfect tassel/feather/scarf/charm to add to the strap to really jazz it up. taking suggestions!!! i’m also wearing my favorite earthie’s braga loafers which i think i’ve featured about 20 times on the blog already… but real talk: i can not get enough of these shoes!!!! i’m so excited to be partnering with them again soon on another pair… maybe then i can start switching it up a bit more! but you know what they say about shoes that are comfy and cute: if it ain’t broke… don’t fix it!

stay tuned for two more looks from my gwynnie bee virtual closet coming to the blog soon! this is such a fun concept and i am 100% on board with the business model! it can fit into so many women’s lifestyles… no matter your size, job, or budget! if you have questions about gwynnie bee or just want to see more, send me a dm on instagram and we’ll start up the conversation!
