different ways to show some skin this spring

going on vacation is the best. i mean, there’s the obvious – bottomless cocktails, warm weather, sand… but then there’s the reason i love traveling most: the outfits!!!! i always pack my statement pieces when i go away, and when i’m flying to warmer climates, i try to capitalize on the chance to show some skin – but keeping it classy takes some strategy… which is why i’m featuring a backless, 3/4 sleeved dress #sponsored by shein on the blog today!

the easy way out is to pack a suitcase full of shorts and tank tops, right? but i’m urging you to think outside the box this spring and summer – because sleeves are IN! when it’s hot and sticky, the last thing you want to be wearing are long sleeves but there are ways to weave this trend into your warm weather wardrobe without giving yourself heat stroke. trade arm exposure for legs, back, or even cleavage! (just don’t do all three at once – remember – the focus of this post is keeping it classy!) this backless number is a great example, because it’s high-neck, but short enough that you’re giving ’em leg! it’s also super light and breezy – even the sleeves are loose! i’ll admit – as a busty girl, going braless is tough – but at such an affordable price, this piece is totally worth it because it even looks nice with a racerback bralette underneath!

for this particular outfit, i styled it with straw accents and colorful pom poms because i was in mexico and you know i love to dress for my surroundings! you can find clutch bags just like this one at francesca’s (linked below)! pro tip: i think it’s important to keep super specific pieces like this one affordable, because the reality is that you won’t wear it as often as you’d like.

do you think you can trade your tanks for some lightweight sleeves this spring/summer? i know i’m all for changing it up, so i’ll be giving this more of a try for sure! follow along on instagram to stay looped into the latest!
