where are my busty girls? where are my curvy ladies? raise your hand if you ever felt personally victimized by bikini tops (LOL!) – in all seriousness, finding swimwear that supports ‘the girls’ and flatters your figure can be a serious challenge, so in this entry i’m tipping my hat to coco reef swimwear… a company that dedicates itself to bra-sized bathing suits (with underwire!!!) so that everyone can feel excited about hitting the beach this summer! read on for more info on this amazing company and their suits!
sold at macy’s, this company creates figure-hugging suits that suck you in and lift you up in all the right places, so i could not resist purchasing one in time for my trip to riviera maya and boy was it worth it! i was there for five days (with five different swimsuits) and i chose to wear this suit twice – which is major for me! this particular suit boasts a plunging V-neck. the shoulder straps lift and the underwire shapes without all that bulky padding. the body of the suit is made from nylon and spandex. it’s breathable but snug so that you keep your smooth, clean lines. no lumps & bumps with this brand!!!
this fabric combo is called the ‘shapemaker’ and boy does it ever! the first time i wore this suit, i paired it with a stripe & floral boho style knotted headband (shop similar styles below!) and a white lace kimono that everyone will be shocked to hear was from AMAZON!!!! i’ve linked it for all of you to add to your summer swim wardrobe, because it is seriously beautiful in person and worth every single penny!
the second time i wore this suit, i threw my hair up into a high pony and put on some statement sunnies. it was all about downtime and relaxation at this point in the trip, so i kept it easy breezy and felt amazing doing it. being someone who fluctuates in weight – as well as someone who strives to stay as fit as possible – loving my body through it’s up’s and down’s is tough but necessary. brands like coco reef make it easier to jet off to vacay without any added pressure to look a certain way. i wish i could say it was all rainbows and butterflies when it comes to self-confidence, but like so many women out there, you just have those days sometimes – and when those days slap themselves in the middle of a tropical vacation… coco reef is there to lift you up. literally.
