i love to get glam as much as anyone else, but can you blame me for wanting to take a breather every once in a while? and this blog strives to be as authentic as possible – so between the bells & whistles i’ve been posting lately plus the tropical vacation shots that are coming down the pipeline… i’m bringing it down a notch today with a focus on relaxed, athleisure IVY PARK streetstyle.
ivy park is beyonce’s line of sweats & bodysuits…. so naturally i had to add a piece to my own personal wardrobe. i wound up purchasing these oversized joggers at nordstrom. i say oversized, because of how they run. these are an XS, and they still have just enough bagginess! initially i had tried on a medium (thinking i’d want to wear them baggy) and they were comical!!!! so when you shop for these suckers, size DOWN. (way down.)
in an effort to look a smidge more put-together, i ditched the hoodie (my natural choice) for a cropped, olive mock-turtleneck with 3/4 sleeves. this is a great shirt for an outfit like this one, because it’s short enough to show off all of the ivy park text! i’m rockin’ some adidas slides and to completely the look, a super unique ‘festival-inspired’ hair ‘do by chelsey drapeau at saint rose salon. this added to the urban edge that i was going for when i shot this outfit! chelsey always nails it.
i’m really excited to head out of the cold in nyc for a few days. this bright pink backdrop has me transitioning (back) into vibrant colors and happy hues. are you traveling anywhere warm this winter? i’d say these pants make for great airplane gear, but i’ve got something else planned for that! stay tuned….. mexico in 5 days!!! check me out on instagram for real-time tropical updates!
