let’s flamingle!

everyone’s excited for fall – autumn hues, jackets, booties and hats – but just because the weather is chilly, doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to get dreary! on my first day in chicago, i wore a bright and bold outfit that was weather-appropriate for the windy city’s fall chill, proving you can extend bright and tropical vibes well beyond august.

i’m a sucker for jeggings, and these ‘dusty-rose’ colored skinnies by american eagle are super stretchy and colorful. they provide a fun alternative to traditional denim, and they worked perfectly with the rest of this outfit! i opted for boho vibes with this off-the-shoulder peasant top from forever21 and a floppy wide-brimmed hat in camel. i love this top, because it looks super cute even when it’s not worn off-the-shoulder, and the elastic at the wrists make it super easy to wear. have you ever worn a traditional bell-sleeved top (sans elastic) only to realize you cant locate your hands all day long? have no fear – this top is super functional (and the price is a steal!)

finished off with tassels & earthy stones, this look is as eclectic as the mural behind it. as we head into the chilly months, keep your eyes peeled for lighter, brighter garments that can liven up your cold weather wardrobe. you can thank me later.
