ok, so day one and day two were more comfy and casual – but by day three of new york fashion week i was really looking to kick it up a notch. i attended the lulu’s event, one of the most sought-after parties for bloggers during fashion week so an epic look was a must.
i’m a huge fan of midi skirts as of this summer – so now that fall is rolling around, i bought a gold/mustard colored one in velvet to transition me into the colder months. it looks amazing with simple black booties. on top, i wore this crisp white button-down with feather accents on the shoulder from zara! this is such a subtle, fashion-forward twist on your traditional white button-down. a fantastic addition to your fall wardrobe.
because of the detailing on the shirt, i found it necessary to wear my hair up and away from the face. i also wore a bright blue bauble statement necklace to give the outfit a pop of color! pro tip: i wanted the necklace to look more like a brooch/ascot so i clasped it on the tightest rung and tied a hair tie around the rest. then, i tucked it underneath my shirt collar! it worked like a charm.
you can shop the rest of this look below and don’t forget to spread the word about indigo heights on instagram! more fashion week recaps to come!
