i made a new friend and she. is. awesome. blog world… meet ashlee rose hartley, fierce california native with killer style. she loves matcha as much as i do, so it was only natural we planned a lunch date with a stop for dessert at cha cha matcha. we dressed in a chambray & lace color palette for our shoot, which featured my favorite vera bradley backpack and sam edelman pompom slides. her husband, charlie tighe, was our photographer for the day and he totally killed it. before lunching, we spent the morning at the tractenberg headquarters viewing the new line of yummie shape & activewear. it was absolutely gorgeous – there are so many styles i want to snag for fall! my favorite pieces were their shaping bodysuits. bodysuits are such a trend these days, but i never feel confident enough to rock a skin tight long-sleeved “shirt” with high-waisted jeans. there’s a whole lotta lumpy that starts to happen, but i sincerely think yummie is swooping in to save the day with this ingenious addition to their fall collection. there were also some fabulous faux-leather faux-suede leggings that double as shapewear, fashion style briefs with lacey detailing, etc. – all things that are new to yummie’s brand aesthetic on a whole. excellent additions that will for sure take this line to a whole new level of greatness!
ashlee and i loved what we saw so much that will be collaborating on a giveaway with yummie in the near future, so be sure to stay tuned so you can enter! in the meantime you can shop my look with similar pieces below! how do you feel about the dress & sneakers combo? it’s something i don’t do nearly enough, but after this fun (and comfortable) shoot, i’m starting to think i might rock this look more often! i’d also like to say that at some point soon i’m going to get closer photos of my gorrrrrrgeous choker, which is by baublebar. it’s turquoise, it’s intricate, it’s adjustable…. it’s a showstopper and i had been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it! follow along on instagram for more where this came from and be sure to leave me your comments, thoughts and suggestions for future posts!
