one top, three prints

every once in a blue moon you find something that you just have to have in every single color, print and shade. for me, this summer is all about francesca’s off-the-shoulder bustier tops. you saw it first at my surprise 30th birthday brunch (here)… and you caught a glimpse of it again during my stay at embassy row hotel d.c. (here) – and today i’m showcasing it in yet another pretty pattern.

this was a quick outfit i threw together for dinner with friends. the style of this top is tight in the bust and flowy at the bottom, with a slit opening in the back for a touch of sexy. it pairs beautifully with white jeans (which is how i’ve worn this look twice now) but it even works tucked into slacks or a long skirt. yes, this is a brief entry because this shirt truly speaks for itself. i wear an XS, which cups ‘the girls’ nice enough that i don’t really have to wear a bra (although i always do just to be safe!) — the back closes with a zipper and the actual bustier (beneath the flowy fabric) is structured and tight with boning. the shape is very forgiving (perfect for eating copious amounts of mexican food like i did just after taking these photos) and at only $38, for such a statement piece, this top is truly a steal. francesca’s caught wind and has cranked this sucker out in so many different patterns, colors & textures. check it out below – and spread the word to friends: follow indigo heights on instagram for daily updates & style inspo!
