this weekend i had the pleasure of hanging out with some fellow bloggers that i already knew (shoutout to megan hoole and sami mauskopf!) and then meeting some more lovely gals in the process. the three of us started by brunching at maison pickle (full post coming soon) and then headed to central park for a ‘blog squad’ meet up where we discussed some key topics in an open-format setting. it was awesome to hear what other bloggers do, how they run their ‘brands’ and i definitely jotted down several tips that are going to come in handy someday!
for the occasion, i knew it was going to be sweltering out, so i kept it cool and breezy in a forever21 romper (linked similar styles blow) with matching eclectic jewelry and sandals. this summer staple is such an easy look to pull off – the flat shoes provide all day longevity, the romper is easy to move around in, and the entire look still made a killer statement.
at the end of our meetup, i even wound up staying fully dressed for my evening plans! i had all intentions of changing, but everything held up so well that i saved an outfit by sticking it out romper-style. rompers are a fun alternative to a sundress, because they allow you more physical freedom but (usually) come with the same flowy elasticity. we had an amazing afternoon in central park, and i can’t wait to do it again! keep following along on instagram — and if you’re feeling really generous, help me in my efforts to gain a twitter following, too!
