it was my second collaboration with zaful – wearing a super cute striped midi dress – which i paired with a straw hat, some straw-accented chunky heels, and my everyday gucci bag. the stripes on this dress are elongating and the cinched elastic waistband accentuates your hourglass while concealing the tummy. eric captured the truly tropical vibes i was going for with this look (which i came so close to saving until my italy trip – – but i just couldn’t wait to wear it!). my vera bradley bracelets and necklace dressed up this otherwise casual, beachy look. the necklace actually has a turquoise strand that can hook onto the gold triangular statement piece (linked below so you can shop!). it’s a two-in-one, which i am obsessed with, and which makes this piece even more worth the price.
i love that you can wander the streets of nyc and find spots that transport you to another world. this beautiful mural is attached to the david burke kitchen, and is a part of a whole longer wall of three different patterned bits of street art. it takes some serious trial and error to truly find your “niche” or “vibe” — but i’ve met with other bloggers who have never failed to mention my ‘tropical’ aesthetic. when i thought back to the launch of this little blog of mine in january 2017, i realized that not long after (february 15th) i traveled to miami – got tons of tropical content – and sort of never turned back! that trip was when my blog began to really take off, and i knew from that point on, that bright colors and beachy vibes (even in nyc) were what garnered the best response from followers old and new. so needless to say, i’m always on the hunt for tri-state-area spots that speak to my constant desire to be near palm trees (regardless of the season). what are some of your favorite city spots with tropical vibes? comment below to leave me your best location suggestions for future shoots! have you followed me on instagram yet?
