the brunch files: pig beach, brooklyn

i recently ate at pig beach in brooklyn and it was the meat-fest of my dreams.

set among string lights, wooden benches and the summer sky, pig beach creates a ‘backyard bbq’ atmosphere that will have you coming back every weekend while it’s still warm. my hubby and i shared an unbelievable amount of food – the baby back ribs, the smoking turkey, wings, and our favorite – the tri tip! with some texas toast and alcoholic beverages (disguised as san pellegrinos), our meal was complete and we left totally stuffed. this place gets completely packed on the weekends especially, so be prepared to cozy up and make friends with strangers at communal bbq-style tables. it’s every man for themselves, and every meat more flavorful than the next! this spot takes “a tree grows in brooklyn” to the next level because it feels so darn homey, you’ll think you made it to the ‘burbs! check it out the next time you’re in brooklyn, and follow me on instagram for more foodie blurbs just like this one!
