another day, another fun spring/summer look! i work part time as a nanny, and i’m constantly trying to find the balance between “cool” and “comfy” — kid friendly clothing is often a challenge to wear if you’re trying to feel remotely fashionable, but forever21 has released a collection of the cutest ‘dad-style’ hawaiian buttondown shirts. what makes them so special? they’re cropped!
i bought this top in two patterns. it’s the perfect length, because i’m able to wear it tucked into a high waisted skirt – or – out and loose with a pair of cutoffs. i collaborated with plaka sandals on this look, which is an israeli based footwear company who’s goods are currently sold on amazon (linked below!). plaka, however, is a small town on the greek island of crete for which they are named. they’re flat – but they’re soft – and they’re handmade which is my favorite part. the unique, braided, criss-cross design adds to the beachy vibe of this look (and reminds me of my grecian honeymoon!).
