ok, i know i’m biased – but i definitely definitely have the best. hubby. ever. after a (surprise) family bbq in new jersey, followed by a romantic birthday dinner at mission chinese and a few amazing gifts, he went above and beyond to throw me and my closest friends a boozy 30th birthday brunch at nyc’s haven rooftop that was nail-on-the-head blogworthy.
i always wanted to have an over the top brunch in an airy, almost-tropical location and haven’s vibe (enclosed glass rooftop views with palm tree decor) was literally the vision i had in my head. the food was fantastic, staff accommodating, and aesthetic on point. my hubby (along with my genius friend jenna’s help – thank you jenna!) managed to find the perfect spot – and the gold foil balloons that i not-so-subtly hinted i wanted, invited my nearest and dearest, worked with the venue to create event-specific menus, ensured bottomless mimosas, and arranged for the most beautiful and delicious cake (with sparklers!!!) courtesy of con amore brooklyn. we ate and drank ourselves silly, laughed pretty hard, and took lots of pics. i am so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with me last weekend. it was such a special brunch, and i had so much fun! scroll down for the full photo recap, and follow me on instagram to stay in the loop!
