old world elegance at the clay hotel, miami

my first dinner in miami this time around was at a hole-in-the-wall italian restaurant called pane vino. they serve homemade pastas, and you can watch the preparation happening through th
e front window of this quaint eatery. sometimes, i subconsciously ‘dress for the space’ that i’m going to be in, and on this night, i most definitely channeled my inner old world italian maiden. oddly enough, i found the perfect area to shoot this look. nestled in an alley down miami’s famous española way lies the clay hotel – a boutique spot with mediterranean flair. the hallways are all outdoors, with common courtyard areas that are brightly tiled with terra-cotta stucco walls. i knew i had to get in there to shoot this outfit. my top is by aqua from bloomingdales and it’s thick embroidery makes such a statement this season, adhering to the off-the-shoulder trend we’ve been seeing a lot of. i paired it with classic white skinnies by american eagle and my nude sandals were a $35 steal from target! francesca’s provided the earrings, which were bold enough without taking away from the top, which is the star of the show in this ensemble. i also am sporting the ‘grapefruit’ mini saddle bag, which is exclusive to vera bradley’s soho flagship store…. but you can find similar styles online in lemon and watermelon! on that note, if you’re a tri-state-area blogger or fashion lover, have you rsvp’d for my free ‘sip & shop’ brunch event? i’ll be hosting at vera bradley soho on sunday may 7th from 11am to 1pm.in addition to light bites & mimosas sponsored by adoro lei, exclusive in-store discounts will be offered (just in time for mothers day!). there will be a pop-up braid bar for some on the spot pampering by gina ribando hair and some fun, custom calligraphy by the very talented joanna krupnick of order she wrote. it’s going to be such a blast! shoot me a message on instagram if you’ll be joining me and don’t forget to rsvp on eventbrite! shop this look
