this #ootd was super fun, because in a sea of new spring clothes, i opted to put together an entire look from some of my last season favorites in an effort to remind myself that “old” clothing does not equal “boring” clothing and that new looks can come from pieces you already own! for my brand new readers, in the past, i’ve called this a #stylerevival: and this look is no different! i was headed to brunch in dumbo, brooklyn so i wanted to keep it casual, fun, and layered for early-spring-chilliness. as a base, i went with my favorite american eagle mauve skinnies that i bought this fall. these are probably the only item still available online. for the rest of this look, i’ll be linking you to similar styles! instead of a boot or some sneakers, i was feeling extra springy and wore this outfit with metallic sperry’s. on top, i wore a tiered swing top from forever21. if you’re drawn to the hummingbirds, this might be a suitable replacement…. but if it’s the tiers that you’re loving, check out this top from lulu’s! over the tank, i’ve layered a simple denim/chambray button-down and dressed it up with some chandelier earrings (both original pieces from francesca’s). similar styles here and here. last but not least, i completed the look with stacked alex and ani bangle bracelets, which i love because they can be super personal. this look was comfy yet still put together and i was proud to be rocking clothes i already had in my closet. tag me in a #stylerevival of your own and don’t forget to give @indigoheightsblog a follow on instagram… there’s more where this came from!
