as we all prepare to welcome spring with open arms, i’ve begun to not-so-subtly transition my wardrobe to a more light, airy and colorful aesthetic. the problem is…. it’s still pretty cold here in new york city (considering we are quite literally in the midst of a snowstorm). but last week, before winter came back with a vengeance, i managed to stroll through central park and get my spring on. i’m a huge fan of sam edelman, and this outfit featured my ‘talia’ loafers (also featured here) and the newest addition to my jewelry collection, the sam edelman crystal tassel necklace in neon. these paired perfectly with my classic ‘portofino shirt’ courtesy of express and a trusty pair of jeans from francesca’s. topping it all off is a banded wool fedora. i got mine while vacationing in breckenridge, colorado – but you can find one that’s scary similar at forever21 right here! this look is comfortable enough for me to nanny in, and i still feel put together. when you work with kids all day like i do, it’s a challenge to get ‘cute’ every day. my goal this spring is to wear colors, textures and silhouettes that allow me to feel gorgeous even while i’m at work. would you rock this look? do you own the portofino shirt in any fun colors/prints? comment below and don’t forget to tag me on instagram!
