an excerpt from wynwood series: look no. 1 — “wynwood has taken over what used to be the warehouse and manufacturing district of miami. now, warehouses have turned to cafes, restaurants, boutiques and bars…. set in a community where every single solitary building is splattered with color. different murals line the streets – some are like painted wallpaper – others tell a full story in one picture. the wynwood arts district houses some of the most creative artists in the country. if you’re lucky, your work will wind up in the wynwood walls, one of the largest open-air street installations in the world. walking through this exhibit – and the neighborhood in general – was so aesthetically stimulating for me (lover of all things bright and colorful). i came prepared, complete with my tripod and outfit changes, to photograph some fun spring/summer looks against the most epic backdrops.”
this final wynwood look is super fun. i switched up the vibrant hues for an all-black ensemble, with a bold lip and statement necklace to give it a pop! set against a zebra-geo-backdrop, this is a perfect day-to-night transitional look. i’d rock a pair of leather slide-on’s by day and switch to wedges and a cropped blazer in the evening for dinner. the high-neck silky top really dresses up my mossimo distressed black-denim shorts from target. shoutout to the hole-in-the-wall costume jewelry shop in the nyc garment district where i found this beautiful statement necklace! jackpot find for sure! this outfit is a stellar example of beauty on a budget. nothing i’m wearing cost more than $30 a piece, but when paired together, they look polished – on trend – and totally blogworthy!

i wish i had so many more wynwood walls to pose in front of. until next time, miami! are you feeling this look? follow me on instagram to see more!
