#stylerevival: new look, no pricetag

it’s only january, and while i’ve been sticking to my main set of resolutions, we all have it in the back of our minds that we’d like to ‘spend less – save more’ when entering a new year. with that in mind, i’m not about to start spending recklessly this early into 2017. when you get the itch to switch it up, sometimes you’ve gotta pull from the far depths of your closet to liven up your wardrobe with pieces you already had.

we’re all guilty of sleeping on articles of clothing that we used to love, or really never wore in the first place…. timing is everything, and this week i revived one of my favorite dresses from urban outfitters by pairing it with some leggings, a fedora (also urban outfitters) and some statement jewels. most importantly, i made this slouchy frock ‘weight-loss-friendly’ by belting it at the waist and bringing out some of that wintery emerald green.

this outfit is perfect for so many occasions and is easily dressed up (or down) depending on your shoe choice. in my case, i opted for a day-friendly bootie by american rag. i felt super cute – like i was wearing something brand new – and i didn’t spend a dime. i’m calling this a #stylerevival. what’s been sitting in your closet? comment below and tag me in your own #stylerevival on instagram! let’s see what you all can come up with….
